A burning ritual might sound like something crazy based on one’s beliefs. I used to feel the same way with the word ritual. The thought of a burning ritual made my closed mind think of witches being burnt alive and other craziness like that. Well, if you’re unfamiliar with what a burning ritual really is and the power it has, I’m here to tell you about my experience with my first burning ritual.
I want to let you know that it’s not a dramatic experience or anything like you would’ve seen in the 90s movie The Craft or similar ritual movies. This is real life! As we’re learning more about our infinite powers within us, it’s so important to broaden our thinking and be receptive to the world around us. So, let’s open our minds. 😊
This form of a burning ritual was designed to release negativity unwanted energy, thoughts & anything that isn’t serving a greater purpose in someone’s life. The goal at hand it to release the negative energy & experiences, and then to invoke positive energy, feelings, and experience into the person’s life. The first time I heard about this was from a friend a few years ago. In this conversation, she mentioned the process of how to get rid of the bad by writing down the negative experiences on a piece of paper & burning it. I was seriously confused and a bit leery because I wasn’t sure if I was hearing her correctly. Plus I was still living a predominate Christian based life. So I did a little research & found an awesome article on burning rituals. It’s a blog post on Lola Pickett’s site. You can read more about burning rituals here.
After reading Lola Pickett’s article on her blog and doing a little research with other sites, I figured it wouldn’t hurt. So I gave it a try!
My set up space for the burning ritual
For someone who’s interested, all you need to do it create a list of the bad experiences and situations you want to release from your life & then invoke or request the positivity you want to enter your life. I created 2 lists one positive & one negative. I had all of my materials such as the 2 lists, a heatproof pan I grabbed from my kitchen, a lighter to burn the list, frankincense essential oil, amethyst crystal & one meditation incense. I did this on my balcony where it’s roomy and well ventilated.
I used the extras like my Amethyst crystal & frankincense essential oil to be more connected with the spiritual realm. Frankincense oil provides focus & stability. This is why I included this oil with this experience. I anointed my head with the essential oil and lit my meditation incense which is coated with vanilla essential oil. Next, I said my release prayer while I burned the negative list & after, prayed to invoke the positive experiences I desire in my life.
Burning my list 🙂
From start to finish it didn’t take long. I can be a bit of a perfectionist, but overall it took about 20 minutes. I wrote the list the night before. I enjoyed the experience and felt accomplished after the process. I must admit I was nervous because it’s new to me. Now, I feel great! I knew it was something I wanted to do & I’ve seen some things come to past.

HERE ARE SOME IMPORTANT TIPS
Never complete a burning ritual when you’re in a bad mood or can make an irrational decision. It’s something to take just as serious as a prayer because IT IS serious.
Keep the positive and negative things you’re dealing with between you & the Universe. Don’t share details of your list with friends, etc.
If you choose to add a burning ritual to your life, I encourage you to do so.
