Why I Love My Hair :)

As a child, I was raised that hair can either make or break a woman. In other words, our hair is everything. There’s no in between, it’s literally EVERYTHING! Later in life, I found that these beliefs are misconceptions and sets women up for failure. That might sound weird coming from someone who chose a beauty career right? While I still enjoy making others beautiful, my mission has always been beauty from within.  Another fact I realized was how insecure, arrogant or stuck up some women are over this illusion. This has made me become more aware of who I want the world to see over what society wants to see.

So why I love my wild, sometimes tamed, weave and naturally curly hair?

Hair is how I express myself. It’s not perfect, but gives a perception of who I want to be. I can be pretty bold, straight to the point and my hair helps me get my point across.

I love the versatility I have with my hair! It’s long one day, short the next, shaved off, or any other way. I don’t have just one set look and that’s what makes me who I AM!

When I learned my true hair type, I’ve learned to embrace it! When I stopped relaxing my hair and actually say that my hair wasn’t as nappy as I thought it was, I became appreciative of the natural beauty I possess!

Do you love you natural hair no matter how it is? I’d love to hear from you!

Why Becoming a Vegan Saved My Life

Weight loss can be very tricky. One thing I’ve learned is before you can lose weight, one must master what’s being consumed in the body. If we eat crap, we feel like crap, and will eventually become crap. This may sound harsh, but it’s the truth. We are what we eat. I love how Ralph Smart put it, “You’re either eating to LIVE or you’re eating to DIE.”

Since I’ve adapted to a Vegan lifestyle, I’ve noticed an abundance in my health. I’ve prayed for so long while looking for answers. Since I’ve found the answers, here’s what’s been taken place with me mentally and physically:

  1. Weight Loss
  2. Less PMS
  3. Shorter Menstrual Cycles
  4. Clearer Skin
  5. More Energy
  6. Happy
  7. Longer Nails
  8. Hair Growth
  9. Less Anxiety
  10. Spiritual Growth

I’ll go into each of my experiences in a series to explain my life challenges with each topic. If you’re spending money on products to achieve any of these results that has changed my life, you’re searching in all the wrong places. Wanna connect and have questions? I’m here to help! Send your concerns to missnishabee@gmail.com.

The Gap Between The Old & New YOU

We all have friends right? It seems like some friendships will never end, but everything has its season. I lost my best friend six years ago. We were also first cousins. I always had friends, but our relationship was never ending until the day she was taken. When I think back on our relationship, she was definitely out of this world with her way of thinking. The information we’re learning now about our world, she was already there and educating others along the way. Since we were children, our relationship was always beyond the basics. We spent many chats talking about science theories, our future selves, girl talk, encouraging one another, and spirituality greater than the Baptist religion we both were raised to believe. This is just to name a few conversations we would have. My cousin and I connected on many levels, because we were both open-minded. Our mission was to always strive to be better spirits.

My reason for mentioning my best friend is because so many people will never know what it’s like to have a priceless friendship. This is simply, because we live in a society where it’s more important to chase our failing financial system. This illusion is causing us to abuse the priceless positive acts that create love and abundance. It would allow us to become more united. Just imagine how advance our world would be if we focused on everything outside of the court systems, religion, television and social media, viral Facebook and YouTube videos, celebrity gossip, designer clothes and shoes, luxury cars, and everything else that wan’t serving us. Just imagine how conscious we would be.

Recently, I connected with friends I was close with before I left Nevada four and a half years ago. I can honestly say my journey was worth it! I no longer have a relationship with these “friends” because we have very little to nothing in common. Think about it. I left Nevada after residing for nine years. I was seeking a better way of life for myself and my children. We were doing pretty good before we left. Lived in a great neighborhood in Henderson, NV, my sons were in good schools and day cares, and I was a Cosmetologist who worked 60 hours a week. Some may think, why would you let everything go? To answer this question, I was seeking a better way of life. This better way of life was to work less hours, connect with my sons and cherish my precious time. I was tired of going with the waves and wanted to do something different. Some of my accomplishments has been our awake mindset, connecting with others globally,  and starting businesses where I work from home.

In our travels, I was able to connect with countless personalities. My children and I have seen so much and have grown tremendously over the years. When reconnecting with friends from my past, it’s been awkward, because I’m known as a Cosmetologist who “do hair.” Everyone I know and come in contact with are learning the new “Nisha.” This gap in my life has caused me to end seasons with some that I’ve kept in touch with over the years. I notice how I’ve grown and see many people have stayed the same over these years. This created a gap in mindset. When I say the same, I mean their mindset of handling life is the same. You know, all of that typical stuff like complaining about jobs, employees, family members, gossiping about friends and every pity party you can think of in between.

I’ve taken time to grow and develop a tougher skin. My journey has been priceless and one I will never regret. It’s one of those seasons where I’m attracting kindred spirits who are on the same mission which is an abundance of blessings and love. It’s also about the lifestyle, motherhood at it’s best, spirituality, faith, patience, and humbleness. It’s not about having one foot in society’s expectations and the other in the conscious realm. Nor it is about priding oneself on getting a break from the kids who cause so much distress, because they aren’t in school at that moment. It’s not about looking for a way out without creating the path. With a mind on this level, there’s no room for being stagnant. It doesn’t matter about the “American Dream” of having the finer materialistic things in life. It’s definitely about working on some of the best ways to become a better and new YOU!

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with ending seasons that aren’t serving you. We all have a road we must take. It’s best taking this road alone to find the best path for you and not old friendships that are stuck and happy being who they are.

30 Day Review for It Works! Products: Here’s WHY I’m A New Business Owner :-)

When finding a way to make $$$ part time working from home, I’m not the person who just look to sell anything. My goal is to believe in what I sell. The only way this can happen is being a consumer of what you potentially want to sell. In this case, that’s exactly what I did.

When I received my products in the mail, I received them one day early which was shocking! I paid for 2 day shipping, but received my products in less than 24 hours (great 1st impression). I ordered on a Friday and received them early Saturday afternoon. I then went on to try the HSN (Hair Skin Nails) vitamin supplements. I created a video on 5 Ways to Grow Your Natural Hair a year ago. In this video, I spoke about how I lost 1/3 of my hair (my entire crown and left side) to where it was pure bald. I wasn’t able to see any specs of possible growth, but it happened! With personal development, a healthy environment and natural solutions, I was able to grow my hair back! The only downfall with growing it back was that my hair was very thin in those areas.

Since I’ve been taking the HSN, I’ve been able to see those little specs coming in! Like you know those little tiny hair follicles :-). In addition to my hair growing back, I saw my belly shrink in 45 minutes!

Here’s how my belly looked after 2 days

2 days 2nd wrap.jpg

This is how I look all wrapped up!

I can gladly share these products, because after using them for a month, I know they actually work! I feel more confident and feel fantastic on a daily basis! I use these products to enhance my current lifestyle. I made the decision to make healthier eating choices, get physical activity & be the best person I can be!

I’ll be open for business on Monday March 7th! This is going to be so exciting, because I have the results! I see why business owners have longevity with this company! Wanna learn more Contact Me Here.

Experiencing Hair Breakage? Read This!

One thing I know for sure is when it comes to making corrections, whether it’s beauty or sales going back to the basics is a MUST. Here’s some simple tips I’ve learned & utilized over the years that repairs damaged hair. If you’re experiencing breakage, dry/brittle hair or your hair just needs a lift try this!

Protein treatments: Protein helps build and maintain strength. How often do you shampoo your hair? For instance, if you’re like me, I shampoo build up from my hair once a week. My scalp is sensitive so product build up is both annoying & causes my scalp to itch. Use a protein treatment after you shampoo your hair for 4 weeks. You will began to notice the strength in your hair coming back.

Moisturizing Deep Conditioner: After you completed your 4 week protein treatments, start using a deep conditioner for another 4 weeks. This will help build and restore your tresses.

Protein builds up your hair and makes it strong. Too much protein isn’t good, because it causes breakage. So following up with a moisturizing deep conditioner, which softens the hair adds balance! End result? Healthy looking, healthy feeling & shiny hair in 2 months’ time!

I’ll post a list of protein treatments and deep conditioners just for you! Stay tuned.

5 Ways to Start a Successful Beauty Regimen In 2016

Many around this time have New Year resolutions. I personally don’t plan anything big at the beginning of the year. However, everyone wants to spend less time and money on their hair skin & nails. So here’s my list of ways to perfect your beauty regimen for 2016!

#1 Find a Beauty Advisor or Cosmetologist

If you’re not sure about where to start and been watching YouTube, it’s time that you take a step in the salon or work with someone who can offer you guidance. This will help eliminate mistakes we make when trying to DIY or trust a friend. Speak to a professional who can help you find your path and make recommendations for you to get the results you’re looking for. Plus make sure your Pro can help you learn how to DIY at home. I offer beauty Regimen Consultations at https://nishabspot.com

#2 K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid)

Stick to the regimen that works best for you. Remember, there’s always going to be a new trend, product or service someone wants you to buy. It’s okay to try new things, but going too drastic may not be for you at the moment. I’ve had clients come and tell me horror stories just because they tried something new which was trending just to be extremely dissatisfied. I’ve had these experiences personally as well. You don’t have to be boring to keep it simple.

#3 Healthy Eating is Key!

We’ve all heard the saying, “you are what you eat!” This is so true! There’s so many foods that can bring you up to speed on your basic beauty needs. Foods like Salmon, tomatoes, dark greens like Kale & Spinach, avocados & nuts are just a few that helps promote & build beautiful hair, skin & nails. If you aren’t taking advantage of these delicious fruits & veggies, now is the time!

#4 Buy Organic Sealed Oils & Butters

I use organic products even with clients based on their needs. Castor oil, coconut oil, Moroccan Argan oil, raw shea butter, extra virgin olive oil. You name it, I’ve used it or probably in the process of ordering it! When I first went natural, I spent so much money on products that did not live up to the hype. I’ve also noticed that everything that says “natural” or organic isn’t. With companies it’s all about the revenue. I remember looking at big brands and looking at the ingredients (I read all labels). I remember seeing so many chemicals it wasn’t funny. Even looking at popular beauty supply sellers like Jamaican Castor Oil for instance. Many of these products start with three main ingredients: water, alcohol or mineral water. This isn’t what you want for your hair or skin. Stick with products that say 100%, organic, cold pressed, unrefined, and/or has the USDA organic seal. Your body will thank you .

#5 Don’t Compare Your Journey To Others

In the beauty business, there’s always a client or two who wants you to look like someone else. Or they continuously compare their beauty journey to others. Remember, we all are unique in our own way. As long as we’re taking the time to do what’s right to make our own hair, skin and nails glow, we’re on the right path. It’s what makes us different and irresistible. Just think about it. If we all looked the same from what we saw on Pinterest, Instagram or television the world would be extremely boring! Embrace your hair textures, nail beds & skin tones. If you’re unhappy with cellulite, acne or uneven skin tones, stubborn hair growth, breakage weak nails, etc. work on them with natural remedies. Good old Mother Nature will do the trick!

Let’s start this New Year off right with taking one step at a time & create the beauty regimen that makes so 2016 YOU!
